Over the weekend it was not very warm weather with that cold wind howling from up north but Monday was a totally different day. The wind turned to the southeast and even though we know that rain is on its way, the temperatures will go up. The evening was absolutely gorgeous with the beautiful sunset. Manitoba sunsets are second to none and we have the bluest skies, if only the clouds wold float somewhere else for a while.
Reminders
Please remember that just because you want a per, it doesn't mean the neighbour does. Every spring we are inundated with cats that don't seem to belong to anyone. During the night you'd thing we were living in a haunted town with all the howling that going on. Yes, it's spring but that doesn't mean that the pets can stay out all night and disturb the other residents.
Students will be participating in Jump Rope for Heart on Tuesday, May 13.
The W.C. Miller spring concert will be held at Buhler Hall in Gretna on Tuesday, May 27.
There will be a Spring Tea at the Rosenfeld School the morning of Wednesday, May 28.
Progress Report
It's getting hard to stay inside even though the sun isn't shining. I make my way outside with great difficulty and get so frustrated not to be able to work in the flowerbeds. I hang over the walker and try to pull a few weeds or trim down the perennials. It doesn't take very long and I have to get myself onto a chair; the ankles are screaming. I have made some progress with turning in bed and the backache has decreased a lot. Turning is easy for anyone who hasn't gone through two broken femurs but my turning is a big deal and by the time I'm done Dave is always awake. We have the nicest, funniest conversations at this time of night.
On Tuesday I'm off to HSC for my three month check-up which always means an hour in x-ray. It's amazing the positions I have to acquire during this process; I just hope that all the milk I've been drinking is producing bone.
